Masters

In the late 60's the Masters were in demand with as many as 5 gigs in a day. Writing and recording during this time was near impossible. Firstly they had to write songs in the vortex of all the mahem, find time to rehearse and finally find time to record. This took some canny organisation. If a spare afternoon came up once in a while, then they might get in a record a couple of songs. Then another day, maybe weeks later, one or two more might go down. This haphazard was the only option. The songs were assembled from bits and pieces from here and there, over a drawn out period. It was not the ideal way to produce a cohesive product. Linda Linda/Merry-Go-Round was released as the first EMI single, followed up by 5:10 Man/How I Love You. Think About Tomorrow Today/A Dog A Siren & Memories was released December 1969. Masterpiece was finally released in Febuary 1970.
